| This is the same pond, the second year after construction. As you can see, there are ways of making an artificial pond look quite uncontrived by use of various plant materials that lend themselves to naturalizing. |

In using statuary or fountains I work to anchor each piece to the area by using plant material that compliments the structure. Sometimes, for me, this is a 'by guess and by golly' situation. That's what makes gardening such a delight. What a thrill when I finally get it right.... One could say of me that I 'play house' when I'm in the garden. After all, this IS my living room! |

This is a photo of the waterfall on the largest pond, built specifically for the Koi. This pond was given birth through the terrible, terrible heat of the summer of '98. However, I wouldn't trade a million dollars for even one drop of the sweat that it took to build it! I just feel so fortunate to have had good health and God's Magnificent Grace to help me bring this project through to completion. |
