Coleus In morning sunshine
| |
| 1) 'Alabama Sunset' grows well in Oklahoma, preferably morning sun, afternoon shade. The more sun, the stronger the colors.
2) 'Dipt 'n Wine' is another good grower, shown here anchoring the chinese garden seat.
3) 'Solar Sunrise' may be mutating here (losing its bright creamy splotches). Perhaps it needs more sun to keep its color. |
| |
| 4) 'Blusher' is a bit on the velvety side, reflects a bit of light back into the camera. Actually prettier than this!
5) This one is named 'Brilliancy' and is so true to it's name.
6) This one may be 'Eclipse'?? Anyone know differently?
| |
| 7) 'Florida Sunrise' as a youngster. Several cuttings grow into a large clump.
8) 'Firebrand' is the name, I believe....a nice, colorful lance leaf coleus.
9) This one is 'Gay's Delight'.
| |
| 10) Could this be the real 'Japanese Giant'???
11) 'Inky Fingers'...a very small leafed coleus, but nice!
12) 'Lime Frills'...really frilly, a frothy green and white!
| |
| 13) Mixed coleus and margarite potato vine.
14) 'Molten Lava', which may also be called 'Tabasco', shown growing beside 'Dipt 'n Wine'.
15) 'Molten Lava' growing in the greenhouse, winter color seems to be brighter because of more controlled sunlight.
